Get to Know the Board

Dave Buck

Hi, I'm David Buck, President of the Charlotte Buckeyes. One of my favorite Ohio State memories is when we beat Utah 64-6 on September 27, 1986. I joined the Charlotte Buckeyes to stay connected to the University and support both local alumni and any in-bound OSU students from the greater Charlotte area.

In my free time, I love exploring the sights and sounds of our great city, always on the lookout for Brutus on his "Where's Brutus??" travels around Charlotte!

Megan Ryan Adams

Hi! My name is Megan Ryan Adams, and I am thrilled to serve as the Vice President and North Location Game Day Captain for the Charlotte Buckeyes! One of my absolute favorite memories of Ohio State is watching the games with my Poppy when I was little.

I joined the Charlotte Buckeyes because I couldn't resist the excitement of social game watches and meeting fellow Ohioans who share my enthusiasm. Being new to Charlotte, it was the perfect way to make new friends and dive into the local community.

When I'm not cheering on the Buckeyes, you'll find me at baseball games or exploring the vibrant brewery scene here in Charlotte. I also have a huge love for music, especially live performances, and I’m always on the lookout for the next great concert.

Suzanne Buck

My name is Suzanne Buck, and I'm the Special Events Coordinator for The Charlotte Buckeyes! One of my fondest Ohio State memories is from September 28, 1986, when I went on my first date with my future husband. We've been members of the Charlotte Buckeyes since the Jocks and Jills days, and getting involved at the Board level has been a rewarding experience.

It's been a joy to connect with fellow Charlotte Buckeyes and work alongside the team at OSUAA. When I'm not cheering on the Buckeyes, I'm an avid supporter of Cleveland sports—Go Browns, Guards, and Cavs! I also enjoy traveling and spending quality time with our grown children.

Gina Redding

Gina grew up in southeast Ohio, but having been in Charlotte over 20 years, she considers Charlotte home.  Her love of the Buckeyes came during her first game in the Shoe at the age of 13 where she watched the Buckeyes beat Illinois.  Gina found the Charlotte Buckeyes in 2017, started volunteering in 2021, then was elected Treasurer in 2022. Although Gina graduated from Ohio University, she completed post graduate work at THE Ohio State University, and coined the phrase, “Bobcat by choice, Buckeye in my heart.”  Gina is very proud of her son, Clay, a Unites States Marine.

In addition to being the Club Treasurer, Gina has also been GameDay Captain at BlackFinn since 2021 where she loves to cheer on the Buckeyes with the Best Damn Fans in Charlotte!   Gina’s most memorable game was in 2019 against Wisconsin - she attended the game with her with her dad and son, their first time together in The Shoe. In addition to watching Buckeye football and basketball, Gina enjoys attending sporting events, traveling, crocheting, and reading

Andrew Hammill

Hi! I’m Andrew Hammill, and I serve as the Scholarship Chair for the Charlotte Buckeyes. One of my favorite Ohio State memories is my first OSU football game against FAU on August 31, 2019, which also happened to be my birthday.

I joined the Charlotte Buckeyes to connect with fellow Buckeyes, enjoy watching games together, participate in volunteering opportunities, and help welcome new Charlotte-based alumni and fans into the club. In my free time, I enjoy golfing, hiking, watching football, and traveling around Charlotte.

Audrey Wanstrath

Hello! My name is Audrey Wanstrath. I'm a Cincinnati native who studied International Business and Creative Writing at Ohio State,. After graduation, I began my career in software sales.

My first job took me from the Midwest to Silicon Valley, where I immersed myself in the tech scene, met people from around the world (and searched for the best cappuccino in The Bay Area). While California was a fantastic chapter of growth and learning, my heart ultimately found its home in the Carolinas.

One of my first Google searches after moving to North Carolina was "Ohio State Charlotte." I hoped to connect with fellow Buckeyes who had also made The Queen City their home. I look forward to meeting you all and reaching out to fellow Buckeyes. Go Bucks!

Nancy Wooles

Hi Buckeye Fans!

I’m Nancy Wooles, and I’m thrilled to be your Game Watch team captain here at Protagonist! I was born and raised in Newark, Ohio, and graduated from the AG school in Wooster quite a while ago. About twenty years ago, I made the move down South with my employer, and now I happily call South Carolina home, just a short drive from Protagonist.

Family means the world to me—my daughter and her husband have blessed me with a wonderful grandson who is truly the joy of my life! After retiring from a career in supply chain management, I decided to volunteer for the Game Watch events, eager to connect with new people who share one big thing in common with me—our love for OSU Football! Being at the game watch takes me back to Ohio, and it always feels like home.

Here’s a fun fact: when I was part of the Hilton Head alumni club, I had the incredible opportunity to meet the legendary Archie Griffin! We even got a picture together—it was such an exciting and once-in-a-lifetime experience!

I hope you enjoy your time at Protagonist’s Game Watch. Let’s cheer loud and proud—Go Bucks!
